Blind Assessment
Richly berry-toned, sweetly tart. Berry melange, cocoa nib, rhododendron, cashew, tangerine in aroma and cup. Crisp, balanced acidity; plush, creamy-smooth mouthfeel. Berry-driven finish supported by notes of cashew and cocoa nib.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of local landrace varieties of Arabica, and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). JBC Coffee Roasters’ vision is simple: “Let the coffee lead the way” through sourcing and roasting the best coffees available and rewarding the farmers who grow those coffees with substantial premiums.
Bottom Line
An unabashedly berry-forward natural-processed Ethiopia that offers sweet-tart jamminess with cocoa undertones.
